Trevor's Testimony

My name is Trevor Torres, I was born in Austin, Texas but I was raised in San Diego California. Growing up, I moved  around a lot because my parents could never seem to get their act together and I had a lot of hatred towards them. My dad gave up on me at a very young age, and my mom was in and out of prison most of my childhood, so I was raised by my grandma in San Diego. 

During my teen years I had so much hatred towards people. I even hated myself. I was introduced to the street life, drugs, and violence when I was 11 years old. By the age 15 I was already using heavy drugs. The devil was always after me and I felt like I had the spirit of death on my life. 

By the grace of God, I was able to move back to Texas.  When I first got here a lot of people planted seeds in my life, but I was stubborn and didn’t give my life fully to God right away.  I tried to live for Jesus, but my relationship with him was wishy-washy. I had an unsaved girlfriend and because of that relationship, I always felt convicted so I went back to the world. God made a way for that relationship to end so I didn’t have any more excuses. I realized that without Christ I would always be broken. 

So, I came back to God. December of 2018 I gave my life back to Christ. I decided that I would give up everything the world offered me and go all in with God. I would completely surrender. 

He has blessed me with so many things, but my biggest blessings in this life, besides salvation, are my wife Tiffany, and my son Jonah. 

Because I fully surrendered, God has always been faithful to me. Give your life to Jesus, if you haven’t already. If God can change me after all the darkness that I lived in, He can change anyone.
